Built before the Civil War the farm has an historic appearance from that era. There has been some modern renovations to also include a touch of modern decor.

The oldest date on deed for the Farm itself dates all the way back to 1778.

During the historic Civil War battle that took place in Gettysburg in 1863 the Confederates soldiers camped on the farm land the day before the civil war. This was while they made their march into Gettysburg.

The historic Gettysburg Battlefield is only 5 miles east of the farm on Route 30 (Lincoln Highway).
